Video of Save the Dingoes on Fraser Island

I was inspired to create this piece as so many dingoes on Fraser Island are being killed under the instruction of the Queensland Government. This is due to dingo attacks on humans.
Dingoes were once common on the island, but are now decreasing. They are some of the last remaining pure dingoes in Australia and some say the World. There was no recorded history of dingoes attacking humans on Fraser Island up until 1995. In April 2001, a boy wandered away from his family and was discovered dead, with indications of a dingo attack. Thirty-one dingoes were killed by authorities as a result of the incident. Caution with dingoes when on Fraser Island is mandatory for all people on the island. Feeding or attracting the attention of dingoes remains illegal and can incur fines of up to $3000. The remaining number of dingoes on the island is estimated to be only approx. 100 and sightings are becoming rarer.
8 Dingoes have been killed on Fraser Island this year already and with only about 100 hundred of them left, only mating once a year this does not give them a very promising future.
